No problem to use a lithium battery with our kits, just take care to choose a Lithium Iron Phosphate battery (LiFePO4), with a good BMS (Battery Management System), and use a good rectifying-regulator such as the Podtronics supplied with our kits. Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) should be 270 A
